Trailer Park Inc. and Zuber & Taillieu LLP, in conjunction with Social Media Week 2010, Los Angeles, are pleased to present an interactive panel on Intellectual Property: Protection in the Social Media Age.

PROGRAM

The sharing and diffusion of ideas creates business opportunities.  But when does the sharing stop, and where and when does “ownership" begin?

Join our panel of intellectual property and social media experts for a relevant discussion on what you probably don't know, what you should avoid, and what you should do in your social media endeavors.

Moderator:

Wendy Heimann-Nunes, Corporate Attorney, Zuber & Taillieu LLP - Wendy chairs Zuber & Taillieu's Immersive and Location-Based Entertainment Department. Prior to joining Zuber & Taillieu LLP, Wendy served as head of Business and Legal Affairs for Universal Creative, the division of Universal Studios responsible for the concept, design and development of all of its domestic and international theme parks, resorts and attractions. 

Panelists:

Thomas Zuber, Intellectual Property Attorney, Zuber & Taillieu LLP - Tom has extensive intellectual property experience, especially in regard to technologies and online business methods. Prior to co-founding Zuber & Taillieu, Tom practiced at White & Case LLP.

Josh Lawler, Entertainment/Intellectual Property Attorney, Zuber & Taillieu LLP - Josh's practice focuses on entertainment, intellectual property, finance and other related types of transactions.  He specializes in the creation and distribution of content rights in film, television, video games and music. Josh also represents companies int he license of intellectual property for use as elements of themed locations.

Eric Galen, Attorney and Founder/CEO of Music180.com – Eric practiced entertainment and corporate law at several of the country’s top law firms before founding Music180.com, a new artist development platform where emerging artists meet and work with the world’s top producers, songwriters and other music industry professionals.

Zach James, CEO and Co-founder, MOVIECLIPS.com - MOVIECLIPS.com provides users access to free movies, trailers, and behind-the-scene content for web and mobile.  Zach previously served as Investment Banker at Credit Suisse with a focus on New Media and Internet.

Jeremy Laws, Principal at Cabana Mobile - Jeremy has extensive experience in marketing respective to mobile technology. His company, Cabana Mobile, specializes in content acquisition, strategy, and business development.  Previously Jeremy served as the head of Universal Mobile Entertainment.

Ryan Born, CEO at AudioMicro (audiomicro.com) and Audioo (audioo.com) - Ryan is a CPA, photographer, and former VP of Finance at WireImage.com. His first company, AudioMicro, is a UGC stock music and sound effects library.  His second company, Audioo, allows users to auto-stream, publicly share, and store voicemails from handsets and services including Google Voice.

Aaron Crayford, CEO and Founder of Rippol.com - Aaron is an expert on intelligent distributed systems. His company is a discovery/recommendation engine for online video that aggregates streams from all over the web. Rippol seeks to generate discussion and discovery through social media systems.
